A Study on the Basic Data of Ktc:ICR Mice with Age:Ⅰ. Body Weight, Hematology, Serum Chemistry and Urine Analysis

Abstract
|
|
|
Establishment of the basic data line can be an important reference to evaluate the results of animal experiments, to raise the confidence of animal experiments and to standardize laboratory animals.
For This we studied on the basic data line in Ktc : ICR price with age and the results were following ;
1. Body weights increased all period, but in female mice, the weight gain decreased between 10 week and 13 week old period only. Body weight gain was the most between 3 week and 4 week old.
2. Thymus was heaviest in 5 week old and then decreased with age. Liver, spleen and adrenal gland of male mice were heaviest in 5 week old, after then decreased.
3. There were no significant increase or decrease in hematological values.
4. With age the values of GOT and GPT increased, but values of ALP and CRN decreased.
5. pH value of urine was lowest in 5 week old male and female mice. SG of urine was highest in 5 week old and after then decreased with age.
